Archivio Giancolombo
(Venezia 1921 – Milano 2005) 
Back from the II World War, he starts to take pictures and moves to Milano. 
In 1946, the director of the Corriere Lombardo, Angelo Magliano, after that Fedrico Patellani left the journal, hired him as reporter with  camera. In 1947 his photograph of Alcide De Gasperi became worldwide famous and three years later (1950), leaving the United Press Photos, he established the Giancolombo News Pictures. Giancolombo grew up many  photographers who, in the following ten years, gave important contribution to the Italian Photojournalism, making the Agenzia Colombo well known in the international milieu. His work has been published by the main magazine and newspaper in Italy and abroad (EuropeoPanoramaEpoca, Paris Match, Life, Picture Post, Schweizer Illustriert, Stern, Jours de France, Daily Express).
