(Roma 1925 - 1998)
As a young photographer he worked for different agencies in Rome and in 1955 he founded "Roma Press Photo". He gave an accurate panorama of the political and social life of the capital and realized many scoops.He became famous in 1958 also outside the photography milieu, by shooting the Via Veneto lively nights, and that special atmosphere that Federico Fellini so well represented in his masterpiece "La Dolce Vita". Secchiaroli created a new photographic genre: the "assalt photography". His life inspired the character of the "Paparazzo" in Fellini "Otto e mezzo"and from that year on, the director claimed him on all his sets as "special" photographer. In 1963 he met Sophia Loren and became for about 20 years her personal photographer. In 1985 he retired and he died in 1998.
