Pellion Paolo
(Castagneto Po, Torino 1947)
He started to take his first pictures as a professional photographer, at the beginning of the 70’ies by closely following the activities of the artists of the Arte Povera e Conceptual, documenting their work and sometimes even cooperating at the realization of their works.
This cooperation took advantage from the particular atmosphere of that period and from the sharing of the every day life with artists such as Boetti, Merz, Pistoletto, Zorio, Penone, Salvo, Anselmo.

The creativity in the Conceptual Art and Arte Povera is a mental process; the photography documents the atmosphere of the work and often it has been also the instrument for its realization.

Since 1975 for almost 10 years, he has worked for Carlo Quartucci one of the most important directors and representatives of the Italian theatre avant-garde and famous to have used  scenographies created by contemporary artists such as Paolini, Kounellis, Weiner, Kirkeby, Buren, Merz, Fabro, Cucchi, Nitsch.

Since 1985 he has documented the artistic activity of the Castello di Rivoli Contemporary Art Museum.
