Tobiasson Borje
(Tingsryd, Sweden, 1952)
Since 1988 he lives in Italy, in Rome and Turin, working as a freelance photographer.
His vocation for photography starts in Asia in the second half of the 70´s and ten
years later decides to make it his life. A choise intimately connected to travelling and
a research on how the world is run and how it´s inhabitants are doing.
In the late 80´s he starts a comparative work on metropolis, which take him to the
big cities in Asia, West-Africa, Europe and North America.
From the late 90´s he also works in cinema as a still photographer.He sometimes also works as gardener.
Among his main exhibitions are "Metropolis in the Mirror" (Paris 1987), "Holy and..." (Torino 2001)
"Nella camera oscura" (Milano 2003).
